FMP

As a native of Sri Lanka, I am acutely aware of the disparities between the narrative of my home in the United Kingdom and the realities on the ground. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to receive a nuanced education on the complexities of the country's history, including the bloody civil war. I am frustrated by the widespread stereotypes and superficial depictions of Sri Lanka as a mere holiday destination, neglecting the harsh truths of poverty and inequality that persist for many, particularly the Tamil population.
With my final major project, I aspire to shed light on the ongoing struggles of Tamil people in Sri Lanka, highlighting the persisting inequalities and injustices wrought by the civil war. Through this work, I hope to raise awareness of the historical and contemporary issues plaguing the country and to challenge the limitations imposed by the government.
POSTER MOCKUP

In an effort to educate and engage the public, I conceptualised a series of interactive posters for this campaign. Each poster serves as a gateway to a wealth of information about the project, with QR codes leading directly to relevant resources. As showcased by these mocked up samples, the posters have been strategically placed in high-traffic areas for maximum exposure.
ONLINE PRESENCE

Through the utilisation of QR codes, each poster in the series serves as a pathway to either the campaign's official website or its Instagram account. I invite you to take a closer look at both for a more comprehensive understanding of the project.
